Energies and Utilities

The Energy and Utilities sectors rely on complex and sensitive infrastructures and face challenges related to availability, safety, security, and environmental footprint. The energy transition involves a transformation of companies through the elevation of criteria regarding emission reduction. Moreover, some of these industries, essential to citizens’ daily lives and the proper functioning of the country, are identified as OIVs (Operators of Vital Importance).

In this context, Uavia for Energy and Utilities positions itself as a suitable response to these environmental and sovereignty imperatives.

Our solutions have been successfully deployed since 2018. The UAVIA robotic platform is used daily by intervention teams and operators on large industrial sites. The key to this success lies in the integration of complex IS and compliance with increasingly demanding cybersecurity standards.

Security and Safety Patrols and Verification

Perform pre-programmed patrols to prevent malicious acts and identify anomalies or events affecting industrial security. Connect your alarm systems (intrusion detection, fire detection system, lone worker system, etc.) to trigger autonomous flights, obtain advance images, and qualify your intervention needs.

Assistance with Crisis Management

In case of an alarm on-site, Uavia for Energy and Utilities allows for the quick dispatch of a drone to the site in just a few clicks. This method reduces exposure to danger for the teams on the ground. The images captured by the drone are transmitted in real-time to intervention forces and other decision-makers, providing a precise aerial view of the situation and facilitating a quick assessment and response to emergencies.

Site Operations

Uavia for Energy and Utilities facilitates the management of industrial sites. It provides automated analysis of infrastructure in inaccessible or dangerous areas and allows for tracking of work done on-site. The use of various payloads (camera, thermal camera, etc.) allows for the detection of anomalies during regular inspections. Moreover, the solution enables continuous monitoring and archiving of drone recordings, contributing to optimized site management.

Emissions Tracking

Uavia for Energy and Utilities enables the automation of gas leak detection operations as well as the measurement and quantification of pollutant emissions. This technology applies to various environments, such as energy production sites, storage facilities, waste disposal sites, or sewage treatment plants. It facilitates regular assessment of emissions, enables rapid identification of faulty infrastructure, helps prioritize measures to reduce environmental impact, and evaluates the effectiveness of implemented strategies.

A collaborative, unified, and secure tool to optimize your missions

Benefit from aerial support giving you an overview of your infrastructure and share this information in real-time between relevant teams for optimal and informed operations.

Your business data (pollutant concentrations, videos, flight paths, etc.) are securely archived.

The experience remains the same for all your sites around the world.

Use case

Frame 109

Having Uavia inside drones available 24/7 at a French refinery is managed by the guards stationed at the site, who were trained in just a few hours to use the solution, in beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flight conditions.

The solution responds to intrusion alerts by triggering automatic verification flights in the affected areas, with surveillance from the guard station agents who can intervene at any time to control the drone.

Site managers also have the option to carry out pre-programmed automatic flight plans, with operator surveillance, to conduct perimeter patrols or recurring inspections of critical infrastructure.

Finally, live free flights can be triggered for use cases such as inspecting a particular structure, surveillance, crisis response, or any other need for aerial support to assess a situation instantly.
