Awareness day on the risks of swimming in the Rhône

Uavia had the privilege of participating in an awareness day about the risks of swimming in the Rhône River, organized by VNF – Voies navigables de France, alongside the French National Police and SDMIS.

The goal was to raise awareness about the dangers of swimming in river environments and to demonstrate how technology can help save precious minutes, improve coordination of rescue efforts, and ultimately save lives.

On this occasion, a drone demonstration (using a Parrot drone), operated by SDMIS through the Uavia platform, was conducted as part of a scenario simulating the rescue of a person who had fallen into the water.

A big thank you to all the contributors to the project: SDMIS, TotalEnergies, CNR (Compagnie Nationale du Rhône), and the entire Uavia team.
